8 Rio Bozo Rides Again!!!

I’ve been unable to work on the tracks as my Blackstone threw a shoe. After getting in touch with the company in Colorado I’ve just received replacement parts for the repair. Top service, I can’t praise them too highly. I shall attempt the repair with a neighbour who is a model sculptor. He has better tools and equipment and eyesight too! More to come on that.

In the meantime I’ve been working on the new, all singing and dancing Rio Bozo gorge scene. This will ultimately feature the river appearing from the cliffs via “The Devil’s Mouth” cavern and falling down in a steep cascade. I have some ideas for fun with that, we’ll see.

Meantime here is the constuction history which should make things a little clearer.

Basic form built
Sealing base
The Devil’s Mouth……
Basic formwork for falls
Sides roughed in
A small fortune in plaster bandage!
Rockwork going in. I used up a lot of the rocks that came from the previous demolition.
White paint to even the colour base
Rockwork basic colouring started.
